Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 41 New Cases, Total 165,702

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported that there were 41 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) in six states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Saturday May 15, 2021.
According to NCDC, Lagos was infected with 16 cases, Yobe 14, Rivers 3, FCT Abuja 3, Akwa Ibom 2, Bayelsa 2 and Edo 1.
As of 11.12 p.m. on 15th May 2021 the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) had recorded a total of 165,702 confirmed cases of the global virus since the index case occurred in the country.
Out of the total, 156,412 COVID-19-infected patients had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while there had been 2,066 loss of lives due to the pandemic in Nigeria to date.
COVID-19 did not kill anyone in Nigeria on Saturday.
