Yoruba Right Activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho on Saturday demanded the Immediatel release of some Yoruba youth arrested by the police in Ibarapa area of the state
Speaking in Osogbo at a rally for Yoruba Self determination and creation of Oduduwa Nation by the Isokan Omo Yoruba, held at the Freedom Park, Chief Adeyemo Igboho said a powerful rally would soon be held in Oyo State to demand their release if the police fails to release the youths.
According to him, the time has come for the Yoruba people to go their separate ways, as the unity of Nigeria as a country was no longer acceptable, saying, the Yoruba race have been marginalised for long in the Nigeria project.
Lamenting the spate of insecurity all over the Southwest region, the Yoruba Right Activist stressed that restructuring or any other solutions apart from self determination for the Yoruba would not solve the problem of Nigeria.
Speaking further, Chief Adeyemo Igboho pointed out that no one could stop the agitation for the creation of Oduduwa Nation as the time has come for its actualization.
He then lauded the security personnel at the rally for conducting themselves peacefully without interfering with the rally saying, the combined security forces were only on ground to ensure that there was orderliness and to forestall any forms of violence.
However, heavy rainfall and wind unceremoniously dispersed the agitators midway to the rally forcing most of them to hurriedly desert the venue
