Governor Nasiru Ahmed el-Rufai of Kaduna State has assured that roads and water projects in Zaria will be completed as soon as possible
He stated this in response to the Emir of Zazzau’s request at the annual traditional Hanwa Bariki which is taking place on the second day of the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration held at Muhammadu Aminu Square, known as Polo Club in Zaria.
He said his administration is set to bring infrastructural development to the people that will touch lives of many as well as address many economic issues.
Nasir el-Rufai said that the Kaduna State Government will give all the necessary support to the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Nuhu Bamalli in order to maintain the peaceful coexistence among the people of the emirate.
He assured the people of Kaduna State that he will do everything possible to bring an end of issues of kidnapping, banditry and other related crimes in the state.
Governor el-Rufai applead to the emir to engage clerics to pray for his government to susceed on its programmes, which are aimed at leading to progress of the state.
Earlier in his speech, the Emir of Zazzau, Ambasador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli appealed to the governor to urgently address the 3rd phase of Zaria Water project and the ongoing roads construction in Zaria.
Emir Bamalli used the occasion to commend the government of Kaduna State for its infrastructural development in the state particularly roads projects.
He said the efforts put in place by the Kaduna State Government to address insecurity are worthy of commendation.
Emir Bamalli appreciated the support and cooperation he has receiving since his assumption as the 19th Fulani Emir of Zazzau.
