Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman has urged Muslims in the area to uphold the culture of sharing, love and kindness as well as promoting the essence of humanity.
The Chairman made the call in a congratulatory message to the Muslim faithful after the successful conclusion of Ramadan fast which culminated in Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Usman said the month of Ramadan is intended to teach how to live good and compassionate lives. It is a month of sacrifice, abstinence and above all, love.
The Chairman encouraged Muslims to be their brother’s keeper and to uphold the ideals of piety, patience, tolerance, perseverance, humanity, and self denial, which were observed vigorously during the month of Ramadan.
Shehu Usman called on the inhabitants of the area to live in peace and coexist with one another for the overall development of the area and the state in general.
The Chairman said “the Almighty God did not make a mistake by putting different ethnic and religious groups together to form one united nation call Nigeria.He added that it is incumbent on the citizens to work towards the peace, unity and progress of the area, state and the nation in general.Usman then wish the Muslim faithful in the Local Government and beyond a happy Eid el fitr celebration
