The Commander-General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Navy Captain Umar Bakori has called on NIgerian citizens to promote security by assisting the enforcement agencies with good information that would lead to the restoration of peace and unity in the country.
He made the disclosure in a press statement that was issued to our correspondent, where he opined that whenever there is collective responsibility in the area of security, all the necessary precautions shall be achieved especially at present when the country is in need of all hands in curbing challenges affecting the peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
Commander-General Bakori cautioned against what is happening in Nigeria, stressing that it must be sanitised because if the current situation persists, there may be less progress especially when there is the need to join hands and promote loving one another, adding that with collective responsibility, the nation would proceed to the next step.
In another development, the commander-general advised the Muslim Ummah to adopt the knowledge they acquired from the Ramadan fast and embrace peace and loving one another because all the lessons gotten emain beneficial.
He prayed to Allah for a crime free Nigeria at all levels.
In conclusion, Navy Captain Umar Bakori assured that the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) would continue to work selflessly in assisting the security agencies in tacking all forms of the breach of security, and commended the members for their immense contribution towards securing citizens voluntarily.
