Eid El Fitri: Oyo Police Command Will Ensure Adequate Security – CP Onadeko

Oyo State Police Command on Tuesday assured the people of the state of adequate security during and after this year’s Eid El festivities.
The state Commissioner of Police,  CP Ngozi Onadeko gave the assurance in a statement issued on her behalf by the command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Adewale Osifeso
CP Onadeko maintained that in ensuring this,” Tactical and Intelligence apparatus has been heavily deployed to every nook and crannies of the State to ensure that peace and tranquility is enjoyed during the festive period and beyond.”
” The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Ngozi Onadeko, while wishing the Muslim communities and faithfuls at large in the State a happy festivity during the “Eid –Al-Fitr” celebrations, wishes to confidently state that Tactical and Intelligence apparatus has been heavily deployed to every nook and crannies of the state to ensure that peace and tranquility is enjoyed during the festive period and beyond”, she said.
The Commissioner of Police added ” the aforementioned constituted security arrangement includes a well defined intelligence network within the State, aggressive and eagle eye focused stop and search, surveillance and visibility patrols”.
She emphasized that ” at the Divisional and Area Command levels, stand-by and reactive stance are to be maintained   Heads of Tactical and Intelligence Teams have also been drafted to observe spontaneous and result yielding stances during and after the festive period.” 
CP Onadeko advised that while enjoying the festivities, the people of the state should be “extremely conscious, watch out for strange activities around their surroundings and secure personal belongings”, adding, ” vehicles parked within immediate environment, garages and public places should be under lock and key at all times to prevent incidents of removal of vehicles from where parked.”
She also charged them  to adhere to the provided COVID -19 safety regulations in the prevention and curtailment of the spread of the virus in the State is a responsible measure to be embraced by all and sundry within the festive period and beyond, adding that “in the event of distress call or dissemination of useful information, the people of the state should call the Police Control Room Numbers, 08081768614, 07055495413 and the 615 toll free line.”
