Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 30 New Cases, Total 165,370

Daily update on Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed that there were 30 new cases of the pandemic in three States of Nigeria on Saturday 8th May 2021.

The COVID-19-ravaged states were: Lagos 21, Adamawa 8 and Rivers 1.
NCDC reported that as of the end of Saturday  8th May 2021 the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) had been attacked by a total of 165,370 cases of the global virus since the index case was reported in the country.
Out of the total, 156,250 people who were infected with the worldwide disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,065 persons had been killed by COVID-19 in the nation to date.
No life was killed by COVID-19 in Nigeria on Saturday.
The disease control agency said that its discharges on Saturday included a backlog of 795 community recoveries in Adamawa State managed in line with guidelines.
