Widows weep as an aspirant of the Chairmanship position of Chikun Local Governmen Area of Kaduna State, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams accepted the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC), committee which screened him out from contesting in the primaries.
The widows who came out in their numbers on Friday, shed tears as Honourable Ekene addressed them.
Ekene charged his supporters to remain calm, telling them that he got into the race based on the clamour of several support groups.
He explained that he appealed the committee’s decision, but unfortunately, it was not reversed.
“Many aspirants are calling for your support, I would not tell you who to embrace, follow anyone who is your choice.
“Tomorrow is the primary election, nobody should say, Ekene endorsed anyone. Follow your choice. We are all APC members. Anyone that emerged, we will all come back and work for the person,” he said.
Speaking further, he said that, “I am out of the race, we have five aspirants, follow anyone you.want. I remain in APC for now, but would take a break.
“I thank God that during our campaign, no life was lost, no accident recorded. We were about going.on tour of the last Ward before the decision of the committee was made known”.
