Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 18 New Cases, Total 165,199

There were 18 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) in four states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Monday.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it detected the cases of the global virus in the following states: Lagos 8, FCT Abuja 6, Edo 2, Rivers 1 and Ogun 1.
As of  11.16 p.m. on 3rd May 2021 the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) reported it had had a total of 165,199 confirmed cases of the pandemic since the index case surfaced in the country.
Out of the total, 155,371 patients had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the worldwide disease had killed 2,063 persons in the nation to date.
COVID-19 caused no death in Nigeria on Monday.
NCDC’s  discharges on Monday included “2 community recoveries in FCT managed in line with guidelines,” the disease control agency disclosed on its twitter platform.
