Gunmen Kidnap 3 Yoruba Herdsmen In Igangan, Demand N10m Ransom Per Head

It was confusion galore in Idi Ope, near Igangan, in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State as some gunmen abducted three cattle breeders in the community
New Nigerian gathered that  the three men identified as  Kabiru Oladimeji, Kazeem and Soka, rammed into the waiting hands of the gunmen on Sunday night while on their way to visit the person managing  their ranch for them at Idi- Ope.
It was learnt that the gunmen laid ambush for the three men and upon overpowering them shooting sporadically into the air, by the gunmen whisked away to an unknown destination through the nearby bush
Sources close to the family of one of the abducted Cattle breeders said  the kidnappers have contacted the family demanding N10 million ransom per person for the release of their kidnapped relative
Contacted , the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Adewale Osifeso  confirmed the incident.
 ” Three male victims were abducted around 18:20hrs on Sunday at Idi Ope village near Igangan. The case was however reported 11:54hrs on Monday. Efforts are ongoing to rescue the victims and apprehend the abductors”, he said.
The PPRO then tasked the people  of the state  to always report such incidents early so as to assist the police in taking prompt action.
