Fleeing Suspected Thieves Nabbed In Delta With Car Stolen From Lokoja

Three suspected thieves are now cooling their feet in police custody in Delta State over alleged stealing of a vehicle.
The suspects, identified as Seidu Mohammed, 27, of Oworo Estate Felele Lokoja-Kogi State, Samuel Daniel, 28, and Yusuf Mekudu, 28, all of same Oworo Estate, Lokoja- Kogi State, were alleged to have been caught with the car, a tinted Toyota Camry with registration no LKJ 52 AW along Abraka/Eku expressway by police operatives.
Our correspondent gathered that they were apprehended by a police patrol team attached to 51 PMF on 29/04/2021 at about 1335hrs  while on nipping point along the expressway.
It was learnt that the failure of the suspects to give a satisfactory account of themselves and ownership of the vehicle led to their arrest and subsequent detention for further interrogation.
According to report, the suspects in the course of Investigation confessed to have stolen the car on 28/04/2021 at about 1230hrs  from where it was  parked  at international market  Lokoja. 
The Ag Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Edafe Bright who confirmed the arrest in a release made available to journalists, said the Command has commenced Investigation into the matter.
He stated that the feat and other breakthrough recorded by the command were achieved due to the due to the proactive system of police of the commissioner of police Delta state CP Ari Mohammed Ali, which tactical commander, divisional police officers and officers and men of the Delta state police command has continued to key into. 
It reads, ” The Delta state police command under the watch of CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, PCS+ has recorded another major breakthrough in the fight against kidnappers in the state, this has been achieved due to the proactive system of police of the commissioner of police Delta state, which tactical commander, divisional police officers and officers and men of the Delta state police command has continue to key into. 
In another development, on 29/04/2021 at about 1335hrs, patrol team of police men attached to 51pmf  while on nipping point  along Abraka/Eku expressway on the same date at about 1230hrs flagged down a tinted Toyota Camry car with Reg no LKJ 52 AW Gold colour, driven by one Seidu Mohammed ‘m’ age 27yrs of Oworo Estate Felele  Lokoja-Kogi State with  one Samuel Daniel ‘m’ age 28yrs  and Yusuf Mekudu ‘m’ age 28yrs  all of the same oworo estate  lokoja-kogi state, they could not give satisfactory account of themselves and how they got the vehicle, they were arrested and taken to the police station, investigation commenced immediately,.
During interrogation, they confessed that they stole the car on 28/04/2021 at about 1230hrs  from where it was  parked  at international market  Lokoja. Investigation is ongoing”.
