Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 55 New Cases, Total 165,110

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 55 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in seven States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Friday 30th April 2021.
A list of infected states as contained in NCDC’s daily update had the following names and number of infections per state: Lagos 21, Yobe 19, Ogun 6, Akwa Ibom 3, Kaduna 2, Plateau 2, FCT 1 and Rivers 1.
As of the end of 30th April 2021, Nigeria had been infected with a total of 165,110 confirmed  cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case was found in the nation.
Out of the total, 155,101 patients had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,063 deaths caused by the worldwide virus had occurred in the country to date.
COVID-19 caused no loss of life in Nigeria yesterday.
NCDC said that its discharges on Friday included 23 community recoveries in Yobe State managed in line with guidelines.
