Police Uncovers Illegal Alcohol Factory In Delta



Police operatives in Delta State have reportedly uncovered an illegal alcohol factory where fake wines are produced.
Our correspondent reliably learnt that a suspect, identified as Kenneth She has been arrested in connection with the illegal factory.
It was learnt that  operatives attached to Special Anti-Cult Unit (SACU), led by its Commander SP Christopher Igbaji and some volunteer corps, in a sting operations swooped on the factory located at Amadaga village in Udu Local Government area of the state, where the suspect was arrested.
According to report, already produced fake wine and several bottles were recovered from the factory.
The Ag. Police Public Relations Officer DSP Edafe Bright confirmed the arrest in a release made available to journalists.
According to the release, the suspect confessed to the crime, given details of how produces and the proceeds generated on daily basis.
” The suspect who produces these fake wines in his house, operates without any license, according to the suspect, he sells the wine for the sum of three hundred Naira (#300) per bottle and three thousand, six hundred Naira (N3,600) per carton,
He confessed that he bottles the wine himself, he uses bottles that has already been used and dispose, and he buys these bottles at Ten Naira (N10.00) per bottle, and he also buys the cork from open market, he claims he washes the bottles himself, cork the wines himself, and sells to members of the public, according to him, he works alone and produces about one to three cartons per day.

Exhibits recovered include bottles of the drinks suspected to be fake alcoholic wine. Case is still under investigation”, the release stated.
