Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 156 New Cases, Total 164,912

Nigeria was infected with 156 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) which were reported in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Tuesday 27th April 2021.
A list released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) gave names and numbers of infection per state as follows: Lagos 50, Enugu 43, Adamawa 40, FCT 8, Ogun 5, Akwa Ibom 3, Plateau 3, Jigawa 1, Kaduna 1, Oyo 1 and Rivers 1.
As of the end of Tuesday 27th April 2021 Nigeria had recorded a total of 164,912 confirmed cases of the global pandemic since the index case was recorded in the country.
Out of the total, 155,012 COVID-19-infected people have been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,063 persons have died from complications arising from the worldwide virus to date.
COVID-19 killed one patient in Nigeria on Tuesday.
