Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 45 New Cases, Total 164,633

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) detected 45 New cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in seven States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Friday 23rd April 2021.
Friday’s COVID-19-infested states are: Lagos 26, Rivers 10, Delta 3, Kano 2, Akwa Ibom 1, FCT 1, Kaduna 1 and Nasarawa 1.
According to the disease control agency, as of 11.31 p.m. on 23rd April 2021 there were a total of 164,633 confirmed cases of the pandemic in Nigeria since the index case was reported in the country.
Out of the total, 154,643 had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,061 deaths caused by the worldwide virus had been recorded in the country to date 
NCDC wrote on its twitter handle that its report on Friday included 25 community recoveries in Akwa Ibom and 18 in Kaduna State managed in line with guidelines.
