Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: Taraba Tops 100 New Cases, Total 164,588

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has stated that eight states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria were attacked by 100 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday 22nd April 2021.
The states invaded by the pandemic on Thursday are: Taraba 64, Lagos 21, FCT 4, Rivers 3, Akwa Ibom 2, Kaduna 2, Oyo 2, Bauchi 1 and Nasarawa 1.
According to NCDC as of 11.39 p.m. on 22nd April 2021 Nigeria had had a total of 164,588 confirmed cases of the worldwide virus since the index case occurred in the nation.
Out of the total, 154,578 people who contracted the global disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,061 patients had lost their lives to the pandemic in Nigeria to date.
COVID-19 took no life in Nigeria on Thursday.

NCDC said its report on Thursday included  21 community recoveries in Bayelsa State managed in line with guidelines.
