Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday kicked against the demolition of Staff Quarters of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) Ibadan by the state government.
The party while condemning the demolition exercise carried out on Thursday, tagged it nothing but a “wicked , myopic and insensitivity” measure
In the statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan by the Oyo APC Caretaker Publicity Secretary in Oyo State, Dr AbdulAzeez Olatunde, the party advised the people of the state to be wiser in 2023 when it will be time to elect the state’s next governor.
” In view of the foregoing, we can only urge the good people of Oyo State to open their eyes in 2023 when they would be exercising their franchise of electing their next Governor and not allowing these Clueless and Directionless set to set us back further”, it said.
Oyo APC added, ” even Borno State that is the epicentre of Boko Haram  Insurgency is making giant stride in all facets of Governance whereas our own Government in Oyo State is still in Campaign mode, midway to its tenure.”
Condemning the demolition of the BCOS  Staff quarters, Oyo APC stressed  ” indeed, if Government actually has anything it intends to build for the BCOS, there are still acres of land in the Premises of BCOS that the Government cannot even exhaust”.
” This were the set of people that were propounding theory of first finishing the Scout camp market before taking street traders away from the streets years ago, but unfortunately failed woefully to complete whatever they intend to build and relocate the families living in the BCOS staff quarters , if at all, the staff quarters must be demolished”, it said.
The party maintained, ” the beautiful things about current happening is the policy somersaulting tendency of this administration which is what this administration would be greatly remembered for, like fantom Maize exportation to Botswana and the rest”.
