NWFL: Falode Rates Super 6 High

Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Aisha Falode has expressed happiness with the on-going Women League  Super 6 noting that the participating teams  have justified their qualification  for the competition.

The Super 6 tournament is  presenting going on at the Otunba Dipo Dino International Stadium,  Ijebu- Ode, Ogun State with six teams namely; Bayelsa Queens, FC Robo, Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, Sunshine Queens and Edo Queens participating. Winner of the week long tournament will stand the chance of representing Nigeria at the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League  slated for next month in Morocco.
Falode told  New Nigerian Sports on Wednesday that she is happy with the football artistry being displayed by the teams; saying that the competition has lived up to expectation.

” I’m highly delighted  with the quality of football artistry being displayed by the various teams who are the best in the NWFL. You know we organised this championship to enable us select the best team that will not only represent the country at the first ever CAF Women’s Champions League  but win the trophy for the considering  the pedigree of Nigeria in women football in the continent. and I believe we’re on the right track’, she explained.

Falode who was full of praises for the  Nigeria Football  Federation (NFF)  and club owners for their support of the Super 6,  expressed optimism that at the end of hostilities, the best team will emerge winner even as she stated that despite the COVID- 9 Pandemic which limited the number of fans to be allowed into the stadia, the tournament was overwhelmingly accepted.
