Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 65 New Cases, Total 164,488

There were 65 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that infected 11 states of Nigeria on Wednesday 21st April 2021.
The names of COVID-19-infected states and the number of cases are as follows: Lagos 41, Kaduna 6, Kano 3, Rivers 3, Plateau 3, Akwa Ibom 2, Imo 2, Oyo 2, Edo 1, Bauchi 1 and Osun 1.

According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as of 21st April 2021 Nigeria had recorded a total of 164,488 cases of the pandemic since the index case was detected in the country.
Out of the total, 154,441 patients of the global virus had been treated and discharged from the country’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the country had reported a total of 2,061 COVID-19-related deaths to date.
The worldwide disease did not kill anyone in Nigeria on Wednesday.
