Delta Police Apprehends 2 Suspected Kidnappers, Recovers Victim’s Vehicle

The Police in Delta State has continued to deplete the ranks of criminals in the State with the arrest of two suspected kidnappers in Isiokolo area of the state.
An unregistered Mercedes Benz GLK, snatched from their victim was said to have been recovered from them.
Our correspondent reliably gathered that the suspects identified simply as Oghenetewhe and Gift, surnames unknown,  were arrested by police operatives attached to Oghara Division with the assistance of some soldiers In Isiokolo in Ethiope East Local Government area of the state, where the vehicle was also recovered.
It was learnt that the suspects, who are members of a four man gang, had kidnapped the victims named Solomon Otomierewo of Ibori road and his girlfriend one Rukewe Urhiephroune while returning to their house by four armed men, who blocked his unregister vehicle and took them to a bush  along koko road.
 On receiving the information, the DPO was said to have swiftly mobilized  patrol teams, vigilantes and anti cults to the bush where  the kidnappers took the victims to. 
The Ag Police Public Relations Officer DSP Edafe Bright confirmed the arrest in a release made available to journalists on Tuesday.
Disclosing that the incident occurred on 19th April at about 3.32pm, Edafe hinted that the kidnappers on sighting the headlights of the police patrol vehicles, all ran to  different direction abandoning the victims.
The release reads, ” On 19/04/2021 at about 0332hrs  information was received by the DPO Oghara Division CSP Jimoh Hassan that one Solomon Otomierewo ‘m’  of Ibori road Oghara  and his girlfriend  one Rukewe Urhiephroune ‘f’ were kidnapped while  returning to their house,  by  four armed men  who blocked his unregister Mercedes GLK  and took them to a bush  along koko road. On receipt of the information 
The DPO swiftly mobilized  patrol teams, vigilantes and anti cults  to the bush where information has it that the kidnappers took the victims to. The kidnappers on sighting the headlights of the police patrol vehicles, all ran to  different direction abandoning the victims, the police were able  to rescue the  victims unhurt.
Meanwhile  the victims’ Mercedes benz GLK through technical intelligence  was later traced to oviore near isiokolo  in Ethiope East LGA  where with  the assistance of the army, two of the suspected kidnappers one Oghenetewhe ‘m’ surname unknown and Gift ‘m’ surname unknown have been arrested and the vehicle recovered from them. Investigation is ongoing and manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang is on top gear”.
