LaLiga NPFL U-15 Championship: Don’t Be Distracted By Your Quarter Final Ticket, Chairman Tasks Akwa United

The Chairman of Akwa United Football Club of Uyo, Elder Paul Bassey has advised the club's Under-15 team not to be consumed by their qualification to the last eight of ongoing LaLiga/NPFL U-15 Championship.
Elder Bassey, who feared that doing so, may rub the team of the victory at other stages has however, congratulated the club's U-15 team on their smooth sail to the quarter final stage of the Championship.
Akwa United U-15 made it to the quarter final of the Championship after two consecutive 1-0 victories against Abia Warriors U-15 and Jigawa Golden Stars U-15 teams in their opening two Group A games at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

Elder Paul Bassey through a GSM call to the team after their victory over Jigawa Golden Stars yesterday, commended the team on their victory and urged them to be disciplined and determined in their quest to bring glory and honor to the state and the club.

"I wish to sincerely congratulate our boys for making it to the quarter final stage of this year's LaLiga/NPFL U-15 Championship. Winning two consecutive matches in the group stage is a great way to start and I want to encourage everyone (coaches and the players) to remain committed, disciplined and focused for the task ahead.

"Don't be carried away by your qualification to the last eight but be prepared to go for victories in your subsequent games because that is the only avenue that we can achieve our primary aim of participating in this championship.

"I want us to be conscious of the fact that we are representing our dear state and a lot is expected of us. Ensure you do your best in flying high the Akwa United flag", Elder Bassey said.

With two wins from two games, Akwa United U-15 team are top of Group A with six points and they need just a draw in their last group game against Kwara United on Wednesday to finish as group A winners.
