Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 60 New Cases, Total 164,207

Nine (9) states of Nigeria were infected with 60 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Saturday 17th April 2021.
Names of yesterday’s COVID-19-infested states are: Lagos 22, Rivers 15, Bayelsa 7, Kaduna 5, Ogun 4, Akwa Ibom 3, Osun 2, Kano 1 and Ebonyi 1.
According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), as of the end of 17th April 2021, the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) had been infected with a total of 164,207 confirmed cases of the global pandemic since the index case was reported in the country.
Out of the total, 154,325 cases had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the number of deaths caused by the worldwide virus in the country to date is 2,061.
There was no death attributable to COVID-19 in Nigeria on Saturday.
