The Chairman Bidnew-Dimension Fish Farming and Integrated Services, Yahaya Usman has expressed satisfaction with fish collected during their recent harvest.
He said the fish pond had more than 200.000 species of fish in 2018.
According to him, fish farming has become a very big business venture that can sustain the family and community to stand on their own particularly the Life after retirement.
Yahaya Usman, a civil servant, ventured into fish farming as part of his preparation for retirement.
Usman expressed this in an interview with New Nigerian at the site of his of his pond at Dogarawa during 2nd harvest of the fish.
Yahaya Usman also said he spent over N2m in expanding the fish pond.
This he said, is as a result of the interest he realized previously.
He said venturing into fishery will boost the socio-economy of the people.
Yahaya said the business is a profit making venture and advised people to join fish farming for economic gains.
He said as a stakeholder, he encourages fish farmers not to give up.
