The immediate past governor of Ekiti State,, Mr Ayodele Fayose on Saturday insisted that his faction will not go to court to challenge the outcome of the party’s South West zonal Congress”,
Speaking on Fresh FM 105.9, Ibadan live phone in programme, “SW Political Circuit’ on the just concluded SW PDP Zonal Congress, Mr Fayose said himself and his supporters are ready to support and cooperate with the new SW PDP Zonal executive and the Governor Seyi Makinde led faction of the SW PDP.

Specifically, the former governor of Ekiti State vowed that he will not leave PDP to another party following  the row that  surrounded the conduct of the SW PDP Zonal Congress in Osogbo arising from alleged over voting, intimidation and other series  of open manipulations witnessed before, during and after the zonal Congress.
The former governor emphasized that despite all these anomalies associated with the zonal Congress , there will be no going back in his faction to conced and accepy the outcome of the zonal Congress in good faith.
Mr Fayose pointed out that doing otherwise would pose serious threat to the survival of PDP in the coming elections particularly in the South West zone.
“PDP must not die, a lot of people are looking towards us for the next election, Nigerians are looking forward to PDP to come back to power.I can’t go to another party, I don’t want PDP to die”,  he said ,
The former governor added ”  I laboured a lot on PDP . I and my supporters conceded for PDD not to died. Though,  we are not satisfied with the conduct and outcome of the zonal Congress,  but, we will not go to court, not because we are satisfied, but for the party not to died “.
Mr Fayose lamented that it was unfortunate that Governor Seyi Makinde and his supporters storm venue of the zonal Congress with suspected hoodlums  from Ibadan invading his hotel in Osogbo threatening to kill him should he dare to attend the congress.
He maintained that as far as he is concerned, there is no basis for Gov Makinde to allegedly storm Osogbo and surrounding the venue of the zonal Congress with over 1,000 suspected thugs to intimidate, harassing and scare so many people aware from the venue of the congress.
