Police Apprehends Suspected Cultist, Transit Armed Robber, Recovers Arms, Charms, Others In Lagos

Two suspected hoodlums, which include a cultist and an armed robber in transit have been arrested in Lagos by police operatives.

As learnt, the suspects were apprehended by operatives attached to Sagamu Road Division in Ikorodu area of the state separately.
Our correspondent reliably gathered that the suspected cultist, identified as Rasheed Isiaka, 40, of No.4, Olowonisaye street, Ikorodu was arrested on 15th April, at about 9.10am following intelligence report.
It was  gathered that the suspect has been placed under surveillance due to allegation of perpetration of many crimes in the entire Ikorodu area, before his eventual arrest.
Two locally-made pistols, one laptop,  two suspected stolen Bajaj Motorcycles, two knives and some assorted charms were said to have been recovered from him.

But the manner in which the suspected armed robber was arrested was of different dimension, as he was spotted and held in a bus by a police Inspector named Atunramu Ojo, attached to Oworonshoki Division, following a hot argument over resistance of the suspect to pay his fare and two others now at large.
Identified as Tobiloba Akeem, aged 22, our correspondent learnt that the suspect was traveling in a Toyota Previa bus, marked LSD 369 FU along with the Police Inspector and the two others who took to flight, on 16th April, 202, at about 5.45 am.
Their aggressiveness and resistance to pay transport fare, resulting in argument and the gallantry act of the police Inspector was said to have attracted the Police Operatives on a routine patrol who eventually arrested the suspect.
When searched, it learnt that one locally-made pistol, some live cartridges and assorted charms were recovered from him.
The police public relations officer CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi confirmed both arrests.
He hinted that the Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu has directed that the suspects be transferred to the Command’s Special Squad for thorough investigation and possible prosecution. 
” The Police Operatives attached to Sagamu Road Division, Ikorodu, Lagos State, on 15th April, 2021, at about 1210am, arrested one *Rasheed Isiaka*, m, 40, of No 4, Olowonisaye Street, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The suspects, who has been alleged of perpetrating many crimes in the entire Ikorodu area, has been placed under surveillance due to the intelligence gathered on him before he was evetually arrested.
Items recovered from him include two (2) locally-made pistols, one laptop,  two suspected stolen Bajaj Motorcycles, two knives and some assorted charms.
Similarly, the same Sagamu Road Division operatives, on 16th April, 202, at about 5.45 am, arrested one *Tobiloba Akeem*, m, 22, at Itamagba, while he and his friend, now at large, were being held by one Inspector of Police, Atunramu Ojo, m, attached to Oworonsoki Division of Lagos State for their  aggressiveness and resistance to pay transport fare to the driver of a Toyota Previa Bus, with Reg No LSD 369 FU conveying the Inspector and the suspects.
The hot argument and gallantry act of the police Inspector attracted the Police Operatives on a routine patrol who eventually arrested the suspect with some dangerous weapons/items. 
Items recovered from him, after search, include one locally-made pistol, some live cartridges and assorted charms.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, while commending the gallantry of the Police Inspector and other operatives for the feats, directed that the suspects be transferred to the Command’s Special Squad for thorough investigation and possible prosecution”, a release by the police image maker disclosed.
