Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 67 New Cases, Total 164,147

A daily update from Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shown that 67 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) invaded eight states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Friday 16th April 2021.
Here are the names of COVID-19-infected states yesterday: Lagos 26, Kaduna 11,  Akwa Ibom 8, Rivers 8, Ogun 5, Kano 3, Osun 3, FCT 2 and Plateau 1.
As of 11.53 p.m. on 16th April 2021, NCDC had reported a total of 164,147 confirmed cases of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria since the index case was found in the country.
Out of the total, 154,304 people who contracted the global virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,061 deaths caused by the pandemic had occurred in the country to date, according to NCDC.
COVID-19 did not kill anyone in Nigeria on Friday.
