Kano State is referred to as the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, where business activities are witnessed on daily basis, despite the present global economic situation, but the issue of fuel shortage is becoming an obstacle to transportation from one place to another.
Our correspondent who monitored how the filling stations are dispensing to motorists reported that many fuel stations were seen closing shop despite availability of the commodity in their stations waiting for higher profit.
Some of the motorists that had chats with New Nigerian confirmed that many filling stations have just closed due to expectations of more gain when the scarcity persists.
They called on the federal government to wade into the matter especially at this fasting period, while others advised the DPR to sanction any filling station that is found closed with the commodity..
More details about fuel scarcity shortly......
