Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: Enugu Tops 44 New Cases, Total 163,837

Nigeria recorded 44 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in four states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Monday 12th April 2021.
Names and figures of areas infected by the pandemic yesterday are: Enugu 22, Lagos 15, FCT Abuja 4, Osun 2 and Kaduna 1.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its twitter platform that as of 11.31 p.m. on 12th April 2021 the country had had a total of 163,837 confirmed cases of the global virus since the index case was reported in the nation.
Out of the total, 154,177 COVID-19 patients had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,061 deaths caused by the disease had happened in the country to date.
COVID-19 killed one person in Nigeria on Monday.
NCDC said that its discharges on Monday included “40 community recoveries in Enugu State and 4 community recoveries in FCT managed in line with guidelines.”
