Governor Nasir Ahmed el-ufai of Kaduna State has condoled the government and people of Adamawa State over the death of Dr Mahmud Tukur.
el-Rufai who was in Yola on Monday, commiserates with his counterpart, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and people of Adamawa over the loss.
According to him, the passing of the elder statesman is a great loss not only to the bereaved family and people of Adamawa but Nigeria as a whole.
He said the late former Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mahmud Tukur was a national icon and university administrator who lived a worthy life.
He prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased Aljannatul Firdausi, and the bereaved family, government and people of Adamawa the heart to bear the irreparable loss.
Responding, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, appreciated the show of love and concern by the government and people of Kaduna state to Adamawa during its moment of grief.
He prayed to Allah to reward el-Rufai, and the people of Kaduna abundantly.
