Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 84 New Cases, Total 163,736

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its twitter account that there were 84 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in 13 states of Nigeria on Saturday 10th April 2021.
Figures of Saturday’s COVID-19 infection per state as listed by NCDC are as follows: Lagos 26, Akwa Ibom 16, Rivers 10, Ebonyi 9, Abia 6, Kano 6, Osun 3, Bauchi 2, Delta 2, Edo 1, Jigawa 1, Kaduna 1 and Ogun 1.
As of 11.39 p.m. on 10th April 2021 Nigeria had recorded a total of 163,736 confirmed cases of the pandemic since the index case was found in the country.
Out of the total, 154,098 people who were infected with the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the disease had claimed the lives of 2,060 persons in Nigeria to date.
COVID-19 killed one patient in Nigeria on Saturday.
