HASSAN, Kano A member of Vigilante gGoup of Nigeria (VGN), Muktar Abdullahi Ungogo has said that the recent visit by the group's Commander-General, Navy Captain Umar Bakori is a clear indication that the organisation is a strong voluntary security group that contributes to the general progress of this great nation. He stated this in an interview with our correspondent at the end of the Commander-General's tour to Kano State. He added that the visit gave great pride to the members of the group especially those who are working voluntarily in order to contribute to the wellbeing of the people of all categories. Muktar Ungogo further highlighted Navy Captain Bakori's role towards the development of VGN, adding that he must be respected because he is working selflessly to ensure the unity and progress of the group especially at present when governments alone cannot cover everywhere except with the helping hands of members of the organisation in Nigeria like what is being witnessed today. He thanked the Commander-General for the colourful visit and commended the security agencies that are always in partnership with the group. He re-assured the members across Nigeria that Navy Captain Umar Bakori is the authentic leader of the association who is working day and night to ensure that VGN is always a pride to the nation.
