Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 110 New Cases, Total 163,440

Nigeria was infected with 110 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)  in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Wednesday 7th April 2021.
The new COVID-19 cases were detected in the following states: Lagos 24, Yobe 24, FCT 16, Bayelsa 10, Rivers 10, Kaduna 10, Nasarawa 5, Akwa Ibom 4, Bauchi 3, Edo 3 and Plateau 1.
According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily COVID-19 update, as of 11.52 p.m. on 7th April 2021 Nigeria had recorded a total of 163,440 confirmed cases of the pandemic since the index case was reported in the nation.
Out of the total, 153,788 people who contracted the global virus had been treated and discharged from the country’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,058 people had been killed by the disease in the country to date.
There was no COVID-19-related death in Nigeria on Wesnesday.
