The Taraba Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Lt. Colonel Agbu Kefas (rtd), on Wednesday enjoined stakeholders in the Nigeria project to work together to keep the country united.
Kefas, a renowned security expert was reacting to an interview credited to him where he was alleged to have said nepotism was fuelling insecurity in the country.
Kefas told newsmen in Jalingo that he was misquoted in the said interview.
“If I am to talk about insecurity in the country, I will do so professionally to foster unity among Nigerians.
“Nigeria belongs to all of us and what we are passing through requires all stakeholders to work hard together to keep the country one and united.
“I have done a lot of work in Nigeria to keep the country one and I cannot turn around and destroy what I have I built over the years.
“In the Niger Delta region for instance, I did a lot in ensuring the security of the region and the country and some of my friends still in the military can attest to this,” he said.
