Nestle Nigeria Plc will on Wednesday April 7, 2021 launch a programme titled: “Live Long With Iron Campaign” to increase awareness of iron deficiency, its impact and solutions in Nigeria.
The event is expected to generate discussion on the current indices on iron deficiency in Nigeria, and the need for concerted action to address what the organizers described as “this national challenge.”
“In line with our purpose – unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come, we are excited to announce the Live Strong with Iron Campaign launch, which seeks to reach at least 50% of Nigerians with relevant information to increase awareness of iron deficiency, its impact and solutions,” Bola Audu, Corporate Communications Specialist, Nestle Nigeria PLC, elaborated.
Audu said that experts from Nestlé, the Office of the First Lady of Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, and the Federal Ministry of Health as well as other private sector will lead the discussions during the event.
