Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 238 New Cases, Total 160,895

A daily update on Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed that Nigeria was infected with 238 new cases of COVID-19 pandemic on Monday 15th March 2021.
The virus was found in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja as follows: Lagos 72, Kwara 28, Bauchi 19, Kaduna 19, Edo 17, Ogun 15, Nasarawa 13, Rivers 10, FCT 9, Ondo 8, Akwa Ibom 5, Gombe 5, Niger 5, Osun 5, Plateau 4, Oyo 3 and Kano 1.
As of 11.34 p.m. on 15th March 2021 Nigeria had reported having a total of 160,895 cases of COVID-19 since the index case was detected in the country.
Out of the total, 145,752 people who tested positive for the global disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 2,016 patients had been killed by the virus in the nation to date.
COVID-19 killed three persons in Nigeria on Monday.
NCDC said its discharges on Monday included 120 community recoveries in Lagos State and 34 community recoveries in FCT managed in line with guidelines.
