Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 287 New Cases, Total 159,933

A daily update from Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed that 287 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) spread across 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Thursday 11th March 2021.
The pandemic was found in the following states on Thursday: Lagos 107, Kwara 26, Akwa Ibom 23, Bauchi 22, Ogun 21, Rivers 19, Kaduna 14, FCT 11, Abia 8, Edo 8, Ekiti 6, Kano 5, Gombe 4, Osun 4, Oyo 3, Plateau 3, Nasarawa 2 and Delta 1.
As of the end of 11th March 2021 NCDC had recorded a total of 159,933 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria since the index case attacked the country.
Out of the total, 142,404 patients who tested positive for the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the disease had killed 2,001 people to date.
COVID-19 killed eight persons in Nigeria on Thursday.
NCDC stated that its discharges on Thursday included 1,858 community recoveries in FCT and 259 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
