*case adjourned to April 15

An Oyo State Family Court sitting in Ibadan on Thursday remanded two person over rape.
The two suspects were arraigned before the court by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) Oyo State Command Anti Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit of the Corps
Magistrate P.O Adetuyibi of the family Court 2 Iyaganku Ibadan later ordered that the 2 accused persons be remanded at Abolongo Correctional Service Oyo
The Magistrate then adjourned the case to April 15 this year.
Speaking after the arraignment of the two accused persons, Oyo state NSCDC Commandant , Alhaji Iskilu Akinsanya said the two suspects Olalekan Joshua male, 16yrs, a Barber and native of Ibadan from Onipasan area of Odejayi raped a minor of 8yrs old in her mother’s shop on December 18, 2020 around 8pm.
Alhaji Akinsanya stressed that the second suspect Olaniyi Segun, 26yrs, who is an hotel attendance also lure a female minor of 16yrs to his apartment when the victim was sent on an errand to buy Petrol from filling station.
The Commandant added that the hotel attendant raped the victim and impregnated her in the process
Alhaji Akinsanya while frowning at the two incident warned those indulging in such act to desist vowed that NSCDC will not hesitate to punish offender.
He then tasked parent to at all times take proper care of their children and as well encourage them to be discipline and contented with what they were given.
