Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 346 New Cases, Total 159,252

In Nigeria, 346 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) were detected across 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja on Tuesday 9th March 2021.
Here are the names of COVID-19-infected areas yesterday: Lagos 86, Bauchi 64, Kaduna 26, Kwara 26, FCT 24, Rivers 23, Plateau 22, Ogun 16, Ebonyi 14, Bayelsa 12, Cross River 10, Edo 8, Akwa Ibom 5, Ekiti 3, Gombe 2, Kano 2, Osun 2 and Delta 1.
As of the end of 9th March 2021 Nigeria had recorded a total of 159,252 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case was reported in the nation.
Out of the total, 139,056 persons who were infected with the global pandemic had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the country had had 1,988 deaths which were caused by the virus, to date.
COVID-19 killed six patients in Nigeria on Tuesday, according to the daily update released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Tuesday.
NCDC said that its discharges on Tuesday included 170 community recoveries in Lagos State and 83 in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines.
