Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 195 New Cases, Total 158,237

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it found 195 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Saturday 6th March 2021.
The COVID-19-infected areas were: Lagos 70, Kaduna 22, Abia 20, Edo 18, Kano 10, Akwa Ibom 9, Rivers 7, FCT 7, Borno 6, Bauchi 5, Osun 5, Oyo 5, Plateau 3, Ekiti 3, Niger 2, Ogun 2 and Zamfara 1.
As of the end of Saturday, Nigeria had a total of 158,237 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since it was first attacked by the pandemic.
Out of the total, the nation had treated and discharged from its COVID-19 isolation centres 137,645 patients who tested positive for the global virus, while, to date, the country had reported 1,964 deaths which were caused by the pandemic.
COVID-19 killed 10 persons in Nigeria on Saturday.
“Our discharges today includes 282 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines,” NCDC announced on its twitter account on Saturday.
