Police Rescues Kidnapped Victims, Arrests Suspected Robber With Double Barrel, Cartridge In Delta



Two out of the kidnapped members of the G.K.S Church in Delta have been rescued by operatives of the Delta State Police Command, New Nigerian Newspapers has learnt.
Similarly, a 22 year old suspected armed robber has been arrested by operatives of the command, with one locally made double barrel and one cartridge recovered from him.
The kidnapped victims, identified as Daniel Edema, 63, of No 15, Ayovorieme Street Ejigbo and Eric Odoh, 52, of Otovia Street Otowvodo both of Ugheili, were said to have been rescued in a bush close to Uwharu community in Ugheili North Local Government area of the state at about 7.00hrs on Thursday 4rh March, 2021.
Our correspondent reliably gathered that they were rescued by operatives attached to the Dragon Patrol Team while acting on a tip off.
It was learnt that they were part of the members of G.K.S church kidnapped on Saturday 27th February, 2021 at about 1900hrs along Ughelli Evwreni express road.
The Acting Police Public Relations Officer  Delta State Command, DSP Edafe Bright, confirmed the development in a release made available to journalists.
He said effort is ongoing to rescue the remaining victims and apprehend the hoodlums.

On the arrested robbery suspect, the police image maker identified him as Chukwuka Aniazagba of Onicha-Uku community in Aniocha North Local Government area of the state.
He said the suspects was on a motorcycle along with two others now at large, as at the time of the arrest.
Edafe said effort is in top gear to arrest the two fleeing suspects.
