NAPS Call For FG Urgent Intervention In Education Sector

National Association of Polytechnic Students, (NAPS), has urged the Federal Goverment to quickly intervene in the education sector to save it from total collapse.
Senate President of NAPS, Comrade Rio Oghale, made the call while presenting an award to SAMBIS International School, Ungwan Pama in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna on March 5, 2021.
According to Oghale, the future of any country is decided by the quality of education provided her youth.
He said that the insecurity bedeviling the country today is as a result that education sector has been neglected by successive governments.
The awards came months after the school, was presented with Award of Excellence by NAPS.
Speaking on the award, Oghale said it was in recognition of the institution’s support towards good education and youth development.
The award is presented “In recognition of SAMBIS International School’s passionate professional capabilities, outstanding leadership acumen, commitment, integrity and professionalism, in building better future for Nigeria via education of the youth.
“The leadership award is conferred on SAMBIS International School in recognition of its administrative and business acumen, professional capabilities as well as your unrelenting commitment to youth development through proper education.”
The NAPS President added that the contribution of the School to ensuring that the youth of tommorow change the narratives of Nigeria for goodcannot be underestimated.
NAPS praised Engineer Samuel Olaniyi for his sagacity and benevolence towards humanity; singled out the Director’s leadership skills and commended his unwavering commitment to the education of Nigerian students .
Responding, the Director of SAMBIS International School, Engr Samuel Olaniyi, expressed fears over some policies hindering the education sector.
He said the proper education for today’s youth is a key to future peace, stability, economy prosperity and security.
He thanked the NAPS leadership for the much cherished award.
Describing the recognition as a pat on the back, Engr Olaniyi reiterated his commitment to impact the society especially through giving the much needed education to the youth.
