Zamfara NUJ Expresses Shock Over Kidnapping of 300 Female Students At GGSS Jangebe

The Nigeria Union of Journalists Zamfara State Council has in the early hours of Friday, February 26, 2021, received with shock, the news of the abduction of over 300 female students by the armed bandits at Government Girls Secondary School Jangebe of Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman, NUJ Zamfara State Council, Abdulrazak Bello Kaura.

“The abduction of the students came to the union establishing a nostalgic situation as the state is celebrating the repentance of some bandits from diverse locations of the state through the Peace Initiative of the state government,” it said. 
The  State NUJ reaffirmed its commitment to professional and patriotic reporting of issues towards the attainment of a lasting solution for the state against the menaces of banditry and other  criminal activities that have arrested accelerated socio-economic development of the State and Northern Region. 
Furthermore, the union pledged support and cooperation to the Zamfara State Government and security agencies in the state, in an effort  to rescue the abducted students.
