Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 645 New Cases, Total 151,553

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 645 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria on Saturday 20th February 2021.
The pandemic infected the following: Lagos 282, Ogun 72, FCT 50, Kaduna 33, Osun 24, Imo 23, Abia 21, Borno 18, Oyo 17, Edo 15, Nasarawa 15, Taraba 14, Ekiti 11, Ondo 11, Plateau 11, Kano 10, Rivers 7, Delta 5, Bauchi 3 and Jigawa 3.
NCDC stated on its twitter handle that as of end of Saturday Nigeria had recorded a total of 151,553 confirmed cases of the worldwide virus since the index case was found in the country.
Out of the total, 128,005 patients who were afflicted with the disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,831 deaths arising from the pandemic had occurred in the nation to date.
COVID-19 claimed 18 lives in Nigeria on Saturday.
NCDC reported that yesterday it had222 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
