Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: Kwara Tops 574 New Cases, Total 146,928

In Nigeria, 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were infected with 574 cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday 15th February 2021.
The COVID-19-infected states are: Kwara 98, Lagos 81, Edo 59, Ondo 44, FCT 41, Kano 34, Ogun 33, Kaduna 29, Osun 28, Enugu 23, Rivers 18, Delta 16, Akwa Ibom 15, Bauchi 12, Imo 10, Borno 8, Niger 8, Kebbi 7, Nasarawa 5, Gombe 3 and Ekiti 2.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) wrote on its twitter platform that as of 11.50 p.m. on Monday 15th Friday 2021 Nigeria had accounted for a total of 146,928 confirmed cases of the global virus since the index case was found in the country.
Out of the total, 123,009 COVID-19-positive persons had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the disease had claimed 1,761 human lives in the country to date.
COVID-19 killed nine of its victims in Nigeria on Monday.
NCDC disclosed that its discharges on Monday included 2,198 community recoveries in Oyo, 227 in Lagos and 53 in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines.
