The controversies surrounding the non revalidation of the membership of first civilian Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sani Yarima in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state takes a new twist as he has been asked to apologize to the APC before he gets registered.
This advise was given by APC Chairman of Rumfar Asibiti polling unit in Bakura town, the polling unit of Senator Yarima in Bakura Local Government Area, Malam Haliru Danyaya while speaking with journalists in Gusau on Monday.
Danyaya said as the chairman of the polling unit where Yarima is expected to revalidate his membership of the APC, the former governor must tender an apology before he is allowed to get his membership revalidated in the unit.
“It is the common consensus by the party stakeholders in Bakura that the Senator has to apologize for his misdeeds before the matter is resolved,” he said.
He said Yarima has not contacted the leadership of the party in Bakura to inform them of his plan to come for the membership revalidation exercise, so there is no way he will be revalidated.
He described Yarima’s action in Bakura last Saturday, where he conducted a political rally instead of trying to get revalidated as a clear demonstration of the fact that the PDP through the former governor is all out  to destroy the APC  in Bakura.

“The rally conducted by Senator Yariman Bakura on Saturday as demeaning to the political development within the party since membership revalidation exercise does not require political rally,” he said.

The pooling unit chairman alleged that since before the 2019 general election, Yarima has distanced himself from all the stakeholders in his polling units as he neither attends nor participates in any activity of the party.
Danyaya said the former governor betrayed the APC by engaging in anti party activities and romancing with the  ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to sabotage the successes and unity of the APC in his constituency.

He also accused the embattled Senator of causing disunity by creating factional leadership of the APC just to make sure that APC remains divided which led to the party losing the recent Zamfara state assembly in Bakura local government area.
“Senator Yarima evidently advanced the sum of N500,000 and dozens of wrappers to PDP agents at the his pooling unit the Rumfar Asibiti polling unit just to make sure that APC lost the bye election last year,” he alleged.
