A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Alhaji Aminu Sani Jaji has berated the first civilian governor of the state, Senator Ahmed Sani Yarima, describing him as lacking the requisite leadership qualities to lead the APC in Zamfara State.
Jaji made the observation at his residence in Gusau after returning from Birnin Magaji local government area where he revalidated his APC membership in the ongoing APC registration and revalidation exercise.
He said the stalwarts of the party decided to unanimously nominate immediate past governor, Alhaji Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar as the consensus leader of the state because Yari posses great leadership traits.
“Senator Yari from all indications does not have leadership qualities to lead us that is why we opted to make Yari our leader,” he said.
Jaji a former member of the House of Representatives added that all members of the party will be revalidated, so any old members who don’t get revalidated are not true members of the party.
“For us in the APC we are not aware if Yarima is still in APC or not because of his double standard. If Yarima is not registered by the registration committee as claimed in some quarters, then it means he is not part of us,” he said.
He called on the members of the party to continue to be law abiding.
