Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 1,143 New Cases, Total 145,664

On Saturday 13th February 2021 Nigeria recorded 1,143 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19).
The new COVID-19 infections spread across 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, namely: Lagos 319, FCT 157, Kwara 90, Oyo 74, Enugu 72, Nasarawa 69, Imo 58, Osun 51, Gombe 49, Kaduna 31, Edo 23, Katsina 23, Kebbi 23, Ogun 22, Kano 19, Rivers 19, Ebonyi 18, Plateau 14, Delta 7 and Ekiti 5.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on its twitter handle that as of 11.53 p m. on 13th February 2021 Nigeria had been invaded by a total of 145,664 confirmed cases of the global virus since the index case occurred in the country.
Out of the total, 120,399 victims of the disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while deaths arising from the pandemic is 1,747 to date.
COVID-19 killed 13 persons in Nigeria on Saturday.
NCDC said that its discharges on Saturday included 1,040 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
