Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 938 New Cases, Total 143,516

In Nigeria, 938 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infected 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Thursday 11th February 2021.
The COVID-19-infested states are: Lagos 236, FCT 123, Plateau 92, Benue 63, Katsina 53, Oyo 50, Osun 45, Kaduna 43, Edo 33, Ogun 31, Ebonyi 31, Akwa Ibom 30, Kano 26, Gombe 18, Bauchi 16, Delta 12, Imo 11, Cross River 10, Rivers 10 and Niger 5.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its twitter account that as of 11.35 p.m. on Thursday 11th February 2021 Nigeria had recorded a total of 143,516 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case occurred in the country.
Out of the total,118,012 positive cases of the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the global disease had killed 1,710 persons in Nigeria to date.
COVID-19 caused the death of eight patients in Nigeria on Friday.

NCDC said that its discharges yesterday included 536 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
