Oyo state Police Command has arrested a 56-year-old self-acclaimed lawyer, identified as Remi Oladiti, for allegedly raping a 14year old Fatima Souwara in Ibadan
The State Commissioner of Police CP Ngozi Vivian Onadeko while briefing journalists on the activities of the command on Wednesday, said the self acclaimed lawyer allegedly raped Fatima sometimes in May 2020.
According to CP Onadeko “upon complaint received by victim’s parents, that one Fatima Souwara, aged 14 of Balogun Street, Bodija, Ibadan, was sent on an errand to No. 20 Olaigbe Avenue Bodija to purchase pap, in the process, one Remi Oladiti gave her a bottle of Bigi Cola suspected to contain some form of sedative-hypnotic to drink which made her fall unconscious
The Commissioner of Police stressed that the self acclaimed lawyer had already made a confessional statement, forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
“On regaining her consciousness, Souwara found herself fully naked on Remi Oladiti’s bed while blood was dripping out from her private part,” she said.
