Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 1,056 New Cases, Total 141,447

The Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) counted 1,056 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) across 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja on Tuesday 9th February 2021.
The areas that suffered the attack of the pandemic are: Lagos 214, Osun 120, FCT 116, Plateau 88, Ebonyi 75, Kwara 73, Gombe 70, Ondo 57, Rivers 47, Akwa Ibom 38, Edo 25, Oyo 23, Kano 22, Delta 19, Katsina 18, Borno 16, Nasarawa 13, Ekiti 8, Ogun 8, Bauchi 4 and Benue 1.
According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), as of 11.44 p.m. on Tuesday 9th February 2021 Nigeria had been invaded by a total of 141,447 confirmed cases of the global virus since the index case occurred in the nation.
Out of the total, 115,755 people who contracted the disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the worldwide virus had killed 1,694 patients in the country to date.
COVID-19 claimed 21 lives in Nigeria on Tuesday.
NCDC reported that its discharges on Tuesday included 478 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
